Rink Diary

2015

January 27 2015, from ice maker Dave Worth

The Wigmore Park Ice Rink came into existence in early January of this year. Weather ANGST prevented us from starting up earlier!! The rink, 100% volunteer based, stretches across the entire infield of the Wigmore Park baseball diamond. The rink is lit in the evening, and out of respect for the neighbors, the lights automatically shut off at 11.

We are getting great reviews on the quality of the ice, and the rink is starting to get some good use with the community. As we are volunteer based, we are always on the lookout for folks who would like to assist us, even if it is just to shovel snow (assuming we might still get snow this year!). If you would like to assist, please send a note to Dave Worth at [email protected]
