RINK REPORT CARD: 2007-2008

Sir Adam Beck

B-

520 Horner Avenue

Phone number unavailable

Strengths: Rink and change area are in good condition and well cared for, good old-fashioned arena design

Areas for improvement: : This rink lost points because of low public skating and shinny times. If the rink were only for permits, its score would be A. In that case it should not be tax-supported. But current permit income is less than 40% cost.

Next steps: Make available more time in the evening and on weekends for public skating and shinny. Make helmets optional for shinny hockey. Have weekly family-skate and youth events to strengthen community use. Flyer schools and the neighborhood.
