Riverdale

B+

Broadview at Moncrest, S of Danforth

416-392-7801

Strengths: staff and users really care about this single pad. Good accessible location with nearby playground in Riverdale Park. Good relationship with local schools and large changeroom facility makes it easier for school groups to visit.

Areas for improvement: Areas for improvement: This rink lost some points because it is not using its excellent resources well enough. Also, ice quality in such a well used rink needs to be improved. Better mats, more outdoor benches are needed. Staff room has covered its window -- !

Next steps: Uncover the staff room window and consider moving the staff room. Make the rink more family friendly with games, a tuck shop and snack bar, and books and magazines. Have weekly family-skate events.
