RINK REPORT CARD: 2007-2008

Ramsden

B+

Inside Ramsden Park, west side of Yonge Street across from the Rosedale subway station

416-392-0918

Strengths: Very loyal skating group, nice central location, double pad. Rink change house has lots of potential. Known for its long-running one-puck shinny game.

Areas for improvement: This rink lost marks for having no window in the staff room and therefore no way to see out or have skaters know where staff are. The signage was a bit confusing and the ice was not always as good as it could be, especially toward the end of the season.

Next steps: Break down wall between public changeroom and staff clubhouse, turn is all into one spacious community room, cut windows into ex-staff-room wall. Put in a small snack bar, kids’ books. Improve indoor lighting. Do weekly family events.
