RINK REPORT CARD: 2007-2008

Queensway

A-

8 Avon Park Drive

Phone number unavailable

Strengths: Since this rink has no permits, it’s always accessible to the neighborhood. Good shinny hockey

Areas for improvement: This rink lost some points because washrooms were locked. That means that skaters from further away may have a problem. No enforcement of “pleasure skating only” times. Poor ice maintenance in warm weather.

Next steps: Do better ice maintenance when it’s warm, in low-sun months. Open the washrooms every day. Have a (rec-staffed) weekly family-pleasure-skating event – canvas skaters for the best time
