Source: The StarLast Friday's Greater Toronto section featured two adjacent articles. One bemoaned the lack of prime time ice for girls'/women's hockey and the other was on the City of Toronto's usual lack of foresight and creativity, finding itself suddenly now having to consider a $500,000 study "on how to create more office room."
Isn't there an obvious solution? The City could buy Maple Leaf Gardens, dedicating non-stop ice for the ladies and retrofitting the rest of the building for an apparent overflow of some of its departments and agencies (say Parks and Recreation).
