A start has been made on the flooding, but there's a ways to go. The bigger one has a good lot of ice in between the dirt clumps; the little rink is started.
Rink diaries from earlier years:
There are two ice rinks, one small and one bigger. Both look like they have plenty of ice despite the last two days of warmer weather and rain. The look like they may have recently been flooded. No skaters at 9.15 pm.
This rink has been in use continuously since the city used to take care of natural ice rinks. In the 1960's the city used to employ a man to care for the rink, and there was also a shed with a stove in it, for skaters to warm up.
