TORONTO STAR, JANUARY 3 1958: "It is true that the parks department operates 58 natural ice rinks for skating and 23 for hockey - or will do so, if and when there is enough frost. For all the freezing weather we get here most winters, the department might as well spare the trouble and expense, and get on with the job of multiplying the number of artificial ice rinks."

Shinny Levels Key: All Ages = All ages and skill levels, 13&under = 13 yrs & under with caregivers, slow paced, 14-17 = 14-17 yrs, medium paced, 18+ = 18 yrs and over, fast paced

Skate Rental - Program Pending
Starting this year there’ll be skates for rent at special times. $2 suggested donation for skates, helmets are free. Bring government ID or a parent who can get you a skate rental membership.
School groups
Book ahead with recreation staff: Wednesday 9:30am - 11:30am, Thursday and Friday 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Contact Sarah at staff@christierink.ca or 416-392-7687.
Sunday afternoons are family friendly: sip hot chocolate over the campfire 1-3pm, with pleasure skating 1-5pm. Recreation staff will be there to make sure there's not a puck in sight and no rude behaviour - you can help them out by letting them know if you see a problem.
