TORONTO STAR, JANUARY 3 1958: "It is true that the parks department operates 58 natural ice rinks for skating and 23 for hockey - or will do so, if and when there is enough frost. For all the freezing weather we get here most winters, the department might as well spare the trouble and expense, and get on with the job of multiplying the number of artificial ice rinks."

Please note: Campbell no longer has age groups for hockey. Shinny periods are open to players of all ages. Games are generally fast-paced.

The ice rink is open and unsupervised at times.
``Shared Use`` - All ages shinny players share the ice with pleasure skaters. No slapshots. If numbers warrant, staff may at their discretion divide the ice into separate pleasure-skating and hockey sides.

Regular fare includes drinks and hot chocolate, and hot dogs, plus pucks and hockey tape, and $2 skate rental.
School groups

Weekend Pleasure Skating Come on out every Saturday from 4:00pm-6:00pm and get toasty by the fire and enjoy special treats cooked over the fire. No shinny allowed at this time.
New! Monday pleasure skating 3:30pm – 5:30pm.
